Purple Desert Lupine
A member of the pea family, desert lupine is a distinctive plant with dark green, palmate leaves and spikes of blue or purple, pea-like flowers. Height at maturity is about 18 inches, but desert lupine may reach heights of up to 4 feet.

The Ocotillo is a plant indigenous to the Sonoran Desert and Chihuahuan Desert and Colorado Desert in the Southwestern United States, and northern Mexico. While semi-succulent and a desert plant, Ocotillo is more closely related to tea and blueberries than to cactuses.

Barrel Cactus
Fishhook barrel cactus grow along desert washes and gravelly bajadas, and has a lifespan of 50 to 100 years. This cactus commonly grows 2-4 feet but may grow taller can grow to be 6-10 feet tall. It can reach a diameter of 18 to 30 inches or more. It is often called the "Compass Barrel " because some of the larger plants lean toward the southwest.
